MISSIONS OF THE MONTH
CITY RESCUE MISSION…..requests our prayers as they deal with extensive renovation of their kitchen and dining area. Pray for safety of all construction workers. Pray for patience for the Staff during these two months of inconvenience. Pray especially for Jim Caine, kitchen
Co-coordinator, as he prepares and serves meals to the men in the True Life Ministry Program during this time of upheaval. Pray for generous contributions the month of May when every dollar given will be matched with a Matching Gift Challenge. Pray for volunteers to give of their time by calling Francie at (724) 652-4321 to suggest things you might do in the hours that suit you. God will get the Glory and you will be blessed.
HARMS/WYCLIFFE…..Phill and Judy Harms were working in Columbia starting in January and expect to be back home in Illinois for the summer months. They will continue working on Scripture adaption projects for the Epena and Choco peoples. They thank us for our prayers and support as they serve in Colombia full time in the ministry of Bible translation.
JOHN & JOY HASPELS…. John & Joy Haspels are finishing their mission work in Nairobi, Kenya, and are preparing for their return to the United States. They will be “home” to Kansas in August. Please pray for John and Joy and their family as they wrap up loose ends at their current assignment, arrange travel for their return to the states, and get schooling in order for their children. Please be in prayer for them as they seek the Lord’s direction on what their next assignment will look like. Lord willing, we will be having John as our guest here at Bethel in the fall – watch for details!
COFFEE CONNECTION-CROSSROAD COMMUNITY CHURCH….Planting…Watering…Trusting…Greg & Debbie McKim continue to establish a church in California Pa along with Coffee Connection Wireless Coffee Shop. As another school year comes to an end for the students at California University of Pa please keep everyone in your prayers that has been touched by this ministry. As they go back to their homes or other summer commitments may they spread the love of god that they have felt during the school year and continue maturing in Christ. Also, please pray for Greg & Debbie as they reach out to the California Community through a host of summer activities
