Announcements - Sept 6, 2009

MESSAGE: “Hath God Really Said"
Pastor Mark Tippin

For over two years, we have been waiting for this day: Our new pastor, the Rev. Mark Tippin is here. He comes to us from Calvin East Presbyterian Church in Detroit, MI where he was the solo pastor since July 31, 2006. Pastor Mark obtained his Masters of Divinity Degree from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. His undergraduate degree is from Lourdes College, Sylvania OH with Minors in Business Administration and Human Resource Management.

Pastor Mark would like to serve in a church that desires to know Jesus Christ and to make him known. He believes the Bible to be the inspired, authoritative, infallible word of God, which is the chief and final word on who God is and how we are to carry out ministry and live the Christian life before God and others. We welcome him and his family into our own family. Pastor Mark, we look forward to your ministry among us as we, together, seek to call the lost to saving faith in Jesus Christ, to grow in Christ, and as we go into the community and world to serve and love others with Christ-likeness

SEPTEMBER MEMORY VERSE: 1 Corinthians 15:58“Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”

Dan and Kathy Stokes are recruiters and encouragers for NTM and are based in Saginaw, MI. They encourage you to pray for NTM missionaries here and overseas and to pray for the Lord to raise up people who will have the desire to be involved with reaching the tribes in various places in the world.

PIONEERS…..

Paul and Lucinda Bentley: They are incredibly grateful to God to be able to report that Paul has been recovering from the illness that he had earlier this summer and are so glad that they were in the US where he could get proper treatment.
They are eagerly looking forward to returning home to Cochabama, Bolivia by the end of September. Please pray for safe travels and ease any concerns they may have. They thank us very much for our continued support and prayers.
