Blood drive at Bethel on May 13 1-7 P.M.
We are needing help. First of all we need blood donors! To care for these donors, we need volunteers to take care of them. We would like to have 2 shifts of helpers; 12:30 – 3:30 and 3:00- 7:30. Youth this is an opportunity to get service hours if you are doing this toward high school requirements. Blood donors must be fed so we need 4 soup makers, a sandwich maker and cookies. Contact Lee Wagoner for kitchen duty, Betty Scott for the donation area or Jon Laughner and Gary Harman to volunteer.
“KNOWING GOD STUDY”
Knowing God is an introduction to theology aimed at the average Christian. Packer uses a study of the attributes of God as the central approach to help his readers know who God is. The cost for the book and study guide is $20.96. This is a small group study and the size of the group is limited to ten. Please call the church secretary if attending by May 14, 2010.

MISSIONS OF THE MONTH
CITY RESCUE MISSION…..City Rescue Mission provides shelter for men, women and children. Last year they provided shelter for almost 550. They also support the Family Care Ministry. Please pray for all the churches that support this Mission so they can provide for these people who are in need and for the staff that is responsible for their care.
WYCLIFFE BIBLE TRANSLATORS/ HARMS…..
Phil and Judy Harms write to us that they are working on the translation of the New Testament for the Epena people in Columbia, S.A.
They also have worked with native people named Noel, Edgar and others and have now recorded the Epena New Testament and it is
available in small digital players that can be distributed to Epenas so that those who cannot read can hear the Scripture. They hope
to see these distributed to listening groups in the Epena areas this year. Edgar is taking university courses in ethnic education, in
order to live in his area and be a school teacher, as well as a pastor to believers there.
They thank us so much for our prayers and support. "Rejoice with us for what God is doing among the Epenas."
"Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you
know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain."- 1 Corinthians 15:58.
JAY & JOY HASPELS….. John & Joy Haspels have arrived back in Nairobi, Kenya, and are settling into the culture and customs once again. They are seeking the Lord’s direction to open the doors necessary to reach the people group that the Lord has placed on their hearts. John continues to be a help to the bush missionaries, but is in need of a vehicle that is “bush worthy”. They covet your prayers as they and their 4 children adjust to their new school, work, ministries duties, etc. They thank Bethel for all the continued prayers and support.
