MISSIONS OF THE MONTH……….

JOHN AND GWEN HASPEL…..Last year looked like they would be leaving Ethiopia because lack of support. This year they report they have abundantly more than they could ask or imagine. This is a time of severe hunger for the Suri until crops are ready in 3 months. Please pray. 54 Protestant churches and many homes and businesses were burned in a rampage recently. The instigators were arrested & the rest of the gang were ordered to rebuild all that was burned. The gang often stood to the side listening as the churches held services among the ashes.

PRESBYTERIAN FRONTIER FELLOWSHIP…..PFF’S motto is:
For Every People an Indigenous Church… For Every Church a Mission Vision. Bill Young, Executive Director, works in the National Office in Richfield, Mn. He has one full time and two part time employees in his office. PFF now has fourteen field staff throughout the U.S. working to connect U.S. churches with god’s work on the frontiers. (Denise Sciuto of New Wilmington is our contact person.) PFF is a separate organization from PCUSA’S world mission division, but works closely with it. PFF is self-sustaining, self-governing and self-funding. Pray PFF’s hope, to see the Gospel turned loose in every culture, will one day be evident.

MISSION ADVOCATES…..Please check folders in the coat for material about your missionary!!!

SPRING CLEANING AND WORK
The trustees of Bethel Church are asking for the help of the congregation. In an effort to try and get some “Spring Cleaning and Work” done around the church the trustees decided to try a “Work Spring” rather than a work day. We are posting jobs and asking the church to help us get them done. A group of individuals, a family, a Sunday school class or maybe a group, on your own time can schedule to do these jobs! In the fellowship hall hallway (across from the bathrooms) is a sign up list of the jobs that the trustees would like to see done this spring. We are hoping that the church will come together to help us get them done. If you see a job that your group or family would like to help out with please put your name or your groups name next to job and the trustees will help you in any way they can.
If you have any questions please ask one of the trustee’s.
Thanks to all of you for your help!
